Tymor Forest Camp’s LIT/CIT Program

Leader-in-Training
Definition: Campers who are 13 and 14 years old who are looking to become leaders in their camp community.

The LIT group will be supervised by a counselor who will provide individual feedback as to the LITs’ progress and help them to become their best-self.

Throughout the session, LITs will meet with their counselor and other camp leadership to discuss their progress and goal-set for continued growth. At the end of the session, LITs will be given a final evaluation with recommendation for next-steps in their leadership progression.

Counselor-in-Training
Definition: Campers who are 15 years old who have demonstrated leadership skills and are working to gain more skills to become a counselor.

The CIT program works to build skills, beginning with observation and asking questions, to leading games and activities independently.
